Winter break...

Only a few more hours until work at Benihana starts for the season. Aside from having to stand the whole time it's not too bad of a gig. I'm the only native English speaker at the place; sometimes I wonder how they manage to deal with the customers as well as they do. The downside: if there's any job where you see people at their worst besides retail, it's in a restaurant. To their benefit yes they do drop large amounts of dough to eat there, but that doesn't ever justify being a dick to the employees. What really pisses me off is when they think they can talk down to the employees who aren't fluent in English, especially since they're some of the nicest people I've met. New Rule: spending money at a restaurant doesn't give you the right to be an asshole. I'd like to think that Bill Maher would be proud.
